St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church Of Delaware was incorporated by 5 immigrant families in the State of Delaware in December, 1978. It started out its life in a small room rented from the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Wilmington, DE. It was a small close knit community that held liturgy twice a month on Saturdays. The liturgy was preceded by bible study on Friday nights. Members of the congregation rotated the hosting of bible study in their homes. |
